Being Between Ritual and Gesture

Within us lie archetypal forms that become visible through our gestures. When experienced with awareness, gestures turn into ritual and express both our uniqueness and our belonging to humanity.

As part of promoting the local area, the Erich Lindenberg Art Foundation is hosting, for the third consecutive year, works created by students from the third year and fourth class of the SCA (Cantonal School of Art) at the Centro Scolastico Industrie Artistiche (CSIA).

The Artistic Culture Project of the Centro Scolastico delle Industrie Artistiche (CSIA) is structured in an interdisciplinary way and aims to provide essential technical, expressive, and cultural skills, fostering the ability to express oneself independently and to build a personal path of growth within the Cantonal School of Art.

Third- and fourth-year students of the Cantonal School of Art have the opportunity to present two artistic proposals at the Erich Lindenberg Art Foundation:

• The first unfolds through the language of performance: a collective action involving space, time, body, light, sound, and other elements. Developed through group work, the performance becomes an immersive experience in which art manifests through gesture and its relationship with space.

• The second proposal explores the theme of the artist’s book through drawings, photographs, and prints.
